Inside New York Climate Week: 3 Lessons on Building a Circular Future

The Hamilton Perkins Collection team spent an incredible week at New York Climate Week, connecting with leaders, innovators, and partners driving the future of sustainability.
From the Clinton Global Initiative to Biofabricate, we shared our work in circular materials and learned from others building solutions across the climate and fashion industries. These conversations reaffirmed our belief that collaboration and innovation are key to scaling impact.
1. Go to your customers.
Zoom and phone calls are great, but nothing replaces the insights you get from being in person with your partners and customers.
2. CGI was packed with vision.
It was great seeing our backers at LabStart share their commitments and connect with others during the week’s events and happy hours.
3. Biofabricate was educational.
Being in the room I learned more about the real-world challenges we’re all solving for different stakeholders.
We’re inspired by the momentum and excited to keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in sustainable design and material innovation.
