4 Environmentally Friendly Money Saving Tips

There are environmentally savvy ways to live. It just isn’t has hard as you think. Here are 5 ways to keep an eco-friendly relationship with the environment and put some cash back into the budget.

 

  1. Educate – Spreading the word about the importance of the environment can lead to interesting opportunities. You can attract top talent and people that can help you with whatever it is you are working on. Having an opinion is the start and serving your audience with good content will lead to exciting projects and experiences.
  1. Cloth Napkins – Using cloth napkins is a great way to save some extra money at the grocery store. The upside is that you can reuse them over and over again. You will reduce your trash output and this leads to less energy being used to process your waste. Recyclable napkins can be used but they still end up going to landfills. Aesthetically, cloth napkins look great around the dinner table.
  1. Thermostat Goals – When the winter weather approaches turn down the thermostat when necessary. Don’t heat an empty house. At night turn down the thermostat to 68 degrees F. When you are gone turn down the thermostat to 58 degrees F.  
  1. Computer Love – Did you know that billions get wasted on electricity per year? Even though your computer goes to sleep it is still using power. Turn off the monitor and be sure to power down all accessories to your computer.
